On May 20, 2025, MAAGAP Insurance donated various school equipment and conducted a simple yet touching ceremonial turnover and digital financial literacy session at Batolusa Elementary School, Toril, Davao City, as part of our continuing commitment to youth empowerment through the “MAAGAP Para sa Bata: Ligtas. May Alam. Maabilidad.” campaign. Three very appreciative elementary schools in Batolusa, Bankas and Manambulan all located in Toril, Davao City received the donations and actively participated in the activities. Elementary students, their parents, teachers, and barangay, provincial and DepEd officials were in attendance.
The session introduced students to essential habits in money management, digital wallet use and online safety which are practical skills to help them navigate a growing digital economy with confidence.
This follows our 2024 initiative at Mulig Elementary School where MAAGAP supported the establishment of a Learner’s Rights and Protection Office (LRPO), laying the groundwork for safer, more informed learning environments.
