Are typhoons and flood covered under your Property Insurance

What is underinsurance?
Underinsurance happens when the Sum Insured is lower than the actual value of the property. In case of a claim, the insurer will apply the Average Clause, reducing the claim payment proportionately.
What is the Average Clause?
It is a policy condition that reduces the claim payment if the property is underinsured.
Example: If insured at only 50% of its value, only 50% of the loss will be paid.
What to do in case of a Property claim and what are the requirements?
1. What should I do immediately after a loss?
Notify us as soon as possible, take steps to prevent further damage, and document the loss with photos or videos. Do not dispose of damaged items unless necessary for safety.
2. How do I file a claim?
You may file a claim through our claims hotline, email, online portal, or your insurance agent. Please provide your policy number and details of the incident.
3. What are the claim requirements?
To process your claim, please prepare and submit the following:
- Completed claim form
- Policy number
- Details of the loss (date, cause, and location)
- Photos or videos of the damaged property
- Repair estimates, invoices, or proof of ownership (as applicable)
