MAAGAP Insurance Celebrates 25 Years of Trust and Partnership

MAAGAP’s 25th Anniversary was more than a recognition of a milestone; it was a celebration of the people and partnerships that helped shape MAAGAP over the years, amid a theme that showcased Filipino culture.

In his welcome address, MAAGAP President and CEO Martin Dela Rosa reflected on the company’s evolution since 2001, thanking partners for their confidence and support. He outlined MAAGAP’s strategic direction for the future, putting emphasis on innovation through the use of digital tools while still strengthening MAAGAP’s physical network of branches to remain accessible to clients and partners. He spoke about how, “Last June, we launched MAAGAP Connect, an insurance portal built from the ground up to better serve our customers and partners. A month after, we opened our first branch inside a shopping mall, our Quezon City branch, providing greater accessibility and convenience for our clients. The balance of both allows us to provide efficiency, accuracy, and immediate access to the services, information, and support that our stakeholders need.”

As a look back on the company’s 25 years, Special Awards were handed out to brokers, agencies, and individual agents to thank them for being pioneer producers. There were a handful of partners who had been with MAAGAP since its inception in 2001. Among the individual agents, they were Erlinda Santiago and Richard Yu. Among the general agencies, they were ICEC Insurance Agency, Inc. and Service One Stop Insurance Agency, Inc. Among the brokers, they were Winebrenner & Iñigo Insurance Broker, Inc.; Howden Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (Phils.), Inc.; Aon Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Phils., Inc.; Chinabank Insurance Brokers, Inc.; and Trinity Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, Inc.

To thank and honor other guests, the company also raffled off prizes, including premium electronics and all-expenses-paid trips to China and Jeju Island, Korea, courtesy of Frontier Travel and Tours and Rakso Travel and Tours, respectively. An automatic entitlement to MAAGAP’s next Achiever’s Congress to Sapa, Vietnam was also given away.

A Filipiniana-themed event would be incomplete without songs and dance. In keeping with its commitment to social and community development, MAAGAP chose students to showcase Filipino culture through music and dance. The University of Makati Chorale and Siglahi Dance Group performed traditional and modern songs and folk dances, while Believe&Live Dance Fit Mind – MPNAG Dance Group presented a performance blending ballet and modern dance.

An employee highlight was Maristella Magugat, who brought her singing prowess to the company’s event by opening the program with the National Anthem and closing it with “Salamat.” She represented MAAGAP in this year’s Philippine Insurers Club’s PIC Idol singing competition, where she emerged as the winner.

As MAAGAP Insurance looks ahead to its next chapter, it carries forward 25 years of learning and experience, shaped by the people, partners, and communities who have been part of its journey. Honoring the past while looking to the future, the company remains committed to growing with the times, strengthening its resilience, and providing human-centric and inclusive protection that responds to the evolving needs of Filipino businesses and consumers.

Confidence to Move. Protection within Reach.
